Field Scalpel

The field scalpel has a 2 1/2 inch blade of .125 1084 steel. This one has upgraded buffalo horn handles

The bird and trout has a 4 inch blade of NitroV stainless with this example having upgraded curve backed brass 3 (copper) pin bolster with the Tasmanian Blackwood handle.

This every day carry knife has a 3 inch blade of .125 1084 steel. Comes with either standard vertical or a horizontal cross draw sheath. Right or left handed. . This one has buffalo horn handles and horozontal carry sheath but standard sheath also available

The light hunter has a 3 3/4 inch blade of .125 1084. The top one has canvas olive micarta with brown linen micarta handles with the lower one being my own personal knife having end grain olivewood with ebony .  

The Classic mini skinner with its 3 1/4 inch blade of 1/8 1084 is suitable for all small game from goats to deer and makes for a compact carry knife that is still able to perform the big tasks of field dressing and skinning you game animals. Various handle and sheath options available.

Light Hunter

The Chamois Hunter is a handy size for an every day carry Hunters knife. The 3 1/2 inch blade of 1084 carbon steel is ideal for this task and any related hunting chores.

The Tahr Hunter

The Tahr hunter has a 3 3/4 in blade of .156 1095. This one has an inch of jimping ahead of the handle with lanyard tube in the scolloped OD canvas micarta over orange G10 liners and comes in a closed top sheath. 

 

This knife is 8 inches overall with an  4 inch blade of 1/8 1084 and 4 inch handle and was designed as an all round knife for hunting and edc chores for someone who was in and out of a vehicle as part of work schedule.

This example is upgraded with spalted buckeye over the bronze curve backed bolster on a stone washed blade in an initialed and  border stamped sheath with attached honing steel. 

The 4x4 Hunter

The hunter skinner is an all purpose hunters knife with a 4 1/4 inch semi skinner blade of .125 1084 steel.

This one has a dark jarah handle.

 

The 951 Belt knife has a 4 inch blade of .170 1075 carbon steel designed to be an all round hunting knife for initial dressing and skinning with heavy jimping for the thumb and fine nose jimping for good controll when doing capping etc. This samply has scalloped OD canvas micarta ovewr orange liner and is in a 10 degree horrozontal belt sheath although standard carry sheath options are available as are numerous handle options

Closed top sheaths

The closed top sheath with leading edge closure is to prevent the rifle stock rubbing against the more common center of the sheath face snap closure. The Sam Browne stud is placed to be out of the way yet still accessible for knife removal and return while  preventing loss while hunting. Offered on Tahr Hunter and larger models. for standard vertical carry knives




The Horrozontal carry sheath (10 degree down) with closed top is offered for the  The AH EDC and  Chamois Hunter and up to the 951 Belt Knife but blades longer than 4 inches are not practical to carry in this style of sheath.

A knife steel

With a number of requests for having a steel with the knife I can now offer a 6 1/2 in steel in a sheath attached to the main sheath sewn in as part of the welt. for the smaller knives the steel is scaled to fit proportionally for length. This is one shown with the hunter Skinner for how they are presented.

The sheath will have my 3 dot makers mark on the upper face and can have additional decorative border stamping and initials down the face as well. 

Mini Bullnose skinner

The mini bullnose skinner has a 4 inch bullnosed blade of 1/8 1084 with this one upgraded with Tasmanian Blackwood handles over the buffalo horn handles.

This skinner will serve as an all round knife for the hunter with more emphasis on the skinning style. A 4 inch blade of .125 1084. Standard acacia handles on this one.

General purpose knife

The general purpose knife will cover a great many applications from EDC to dressing out a game animal to boning it out afterwards with its 5 in blade. This one has brass bolsters and buffalo horn upgrades

Professional Hunter 

The thumbrest skinner is for those who like to have support for the thumb along the blade spine. A 4 inch skinner blade of .125 1084 .

This one is upgraded with buffao horn bolsters to the acacia handles

 

The Pro Hunter is a knife designed to take care of almost any task a hunter may have in and on return from the field. A 4 3/4 x 1 3/16 blade of 5/32 1075 carbin steel. This pair has buffalo horn curve backed bolsters with spalted eucalyptus handle upgrades.

Bullnose Skinner

The bullnosed skinner is for those who like the full sized skinning knife with its 4 1/2 inch blade of 1/8 1084. This one upgraded with Tasmanian Blackwood handles over the stainless bolster with buffalko horn and stainless spacers

Safari knife

The safari knife has a 4 1/4 in blade of .156 1095 with either a saber or flat grind and is the perfect knife to accompany you on a safari or hunt where you may want or need to use it for general purpose use as well as the hunting needs.

This knife has a 4 1/2 in blade of .170 1075 steel in a vertiacl carry sheath.

Upgrades  include flat or curved backed bolsters and various handle options.

 

 

The Old Western is a compact version of the Buffalo Skinner. A 4 1/4 inch blade of 1095 with this one having upgraded 3 pin curve backed buffalo horn bolsters with Eucayptus handles

The field boning knife if designed for use in the field where the animal is on the ground rather than hanging which the professional boning knfe is more suited to.  below).

The boning knife has both styles of handle available and has a 4 inch blade of .125 1084 steel

The top knife has a Rimu and buffalo horn handle and the bottom one has blackwood and buffalo horn.

 

Heavy Hunter

The Heavy Hunter has a 5 inch blade of .170/4.3mm in either 1075 carbon or NitroV Stainless. This knife will handle the heaviest hunting chores but still retains the dexterity for the finer work. Various handle upgrade options available with pricing noted  for plain grained wood. The  knife shown has exhibition grade Walnut over CB buffalo horn bolsters on carbon steel blade 

For the pig hunter who likes to get in close and finish the hunt with a knife this is the knife for you. A 6 inch blade of .170 1075 high carbon steel, saber ground with relieved top edge for easy and deep penetration, this is a strong blade that will take the punishment this type of hunting often brings with it. Plenty of finger cover to stop any forward movment of the hand during engagment. Acacia wood handles as standard. This one has SS bolsters with black G10 and nickle silver spacers under the ebony handle.

Field Boning knives

The professional boning knife has a 6 inch blade of 1/8 1075 carbon steel and is ideal for boning animals that are hanging as is usual in a butcher shop or when animals are taken from the field to be broken down in an area with hanging capabilities. Standard with Acacia or Eucalyptus. This one has Swamp Kauri.

Butchers knife

The butchers knife is indispensible for processing the animals during the butchering process of slicing the large muscle groups into steaks etc. Available in 9 to 12 inch blades of 1/8 1084 carbon steel. This one has a 9 1/2 inch blade with turtle shell acrylic handle. 

For the larger animal processing the cimeter with its 12 1/2 inch x 1/8 1075 HC blade makes easy work of slicing the large muscle groups into steaks etc. Often called a steaking or butchering knife, they can be ordered with blade lengths 9 inch through to the max 12 1/2 inch shown here. This one has a handle upgrade with quilted macrocarpa over a buffalo horn bolster

The Lion Knife

This is the lion knife of Harry Wollhurter who used his to kill a lion that attacked him on his horse. The lion bit into his shoulder and subsequently dragged him for 60 yards before Harry was able to reach for his knife to kill the lion. Acacia wood as standard with upgrades offered for this knife. Khukuri EDC

A very versatile historic design accross a widerange of every day uses. This one has a forge finish on the 1075 HC blade with rosewood over brass. Standard is with plain  blackwood or eucalyptus and the brass bolster without lanyard tube in unadorned (crossdraw sheath. Upgrade wood options available
